Returns, Refunds, and Exchanges Policy
​Processing Time vs. Shipping Time:
Processing time refers to the time it takes to create your handmade item before it ships. This does not include shipping time, which varies depending on your location and the carrier's schedule. Estimated delivery times are provided by the shipping carrier and are not guaranteed. Please refer to the specific item listing to see a more accurate estimated turnaround time.
Jewelry:
Due to hygiene and safety reasons, all jewelry sales are final. We do not accept returns or exchanges on jewelry items. Please ensure you review product descriptions and images carefully before making a purchase.
Custom-Made Items:
Due to the custom nature of these products, returns and refunds are not accepted. If for some reason your garment does not match the measurements you send, please contact us to discuss possible solutions.
Defective Products:
Minor variations in size, color, and texture are expected due to the handmade nature of our products. These do not qualify as defects and will not be eligible for refunds or exchanges. Defective items do not include incorrect sizing based on customer-provided measurements, dissatisfaction with a product, or changes of mind. However, if you receive a product with a genuine defect, please contact us within 5 days for a resolution. Returns for any other reason are not accepted.
Store Credit Only:
Approved refunds for defective items will be issued as store credit only. Store credit does not expire and can be used for any future purchases.

Reporting Issues with Received Packages:
You have a 5-day window from receiving your package to report any missing, damaged, or defective items. If a return is approved, a return shipping label will be provided, and the item must be shipped back within 5 days to be accepted.

Lost or Stolen Packages:
Once a package is marked as ‘Delivered’ by the carrier, Mermaid Overland Designs is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Please check with your local post office and neighbors. If theft is suspected, we recommend filing a claim with your local authorities.

Cancellations for Made-to-Order Items:
Cancellations are only accepted within 24 hours of placing an order. Once production begins, cancellations are not permitted, and the order is final.
Digital Products & Crochet Patterns: All sales of digital crochet patterns or other digital downloads are final and cannot be refunded due to their downloadable nature.

Reselling and Usage Restrictions:
Reselling our products is prohibited unless a prior agreement has been reached with us.

Force Majeure:
Mermaid Overland Designs is not liable for delays or failure to fulfill orders due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, transportation interruptions, pandemics, supply chain disruptions, or other unforeseen events.

Policy Updates & Agreement Returns, refunds, and exchange policies may be updated at any time. By purchasing from Mermaid Overland Designs, the customer agrees to all policies stated above.
